The picture appears. Everything seems to work. But is that enough to decide whether to pay? A useful trial should reflect everyday viewing. Start by checking what it includes: the player, access to programmes, or both. A player licence and a content subscription can be separate things. Then use the device you actually plan to watch on, with your usual home connection. A phone beside the router does not necessarily represent the television upstairs. Choose a few things your household needs. Find a programme with the remote. Check the audio language, captions and readability from your usual seat. A button in the application does not guarantee that every programme supports the feature. Let the programme play. Watch for pauses, sound problems and visible changes in quality. Try another programme too. If something goes wrong, record the exact message before changing settings. An interruption is an observation, not yet an explanation. If the trial period allows it, try again at your normal viewing time, using the same device. Note other activity on the connection. When comparing results, change just one condition at a time. Planning to use several screens? First check how many simultaneous streams are allowed. Installing an application on two devices does not necessarily mean you can watch on both at once. Before the trial ends, confirm the price, currency, expiry time, time zone and any automatic renewal. Do not assume a refund is included. Successful playback does not guarantee future reliability or establish the provider’s distribution rights. Keep your observations, without passwords, private links or account credentials. Find the method and the observation worksheet in the OfficialOTT guide. The goal is to decide from your own everyday experience.
