Before choosing a streaming device, check your needs, not just the logo on the box. Start with the full model, generation, and installed operating system. Two devices from the same brand can differ. Then find the app in the exact model’s Canadian store. A mobile app is not automatically suitable for a television. For an external box, check the required power supply, HDMI port, and connections actually available. Test the network in the room where you will watch. Compare Wi-Fi and Ethernet when the model supports both. Also check available storage and software updates. A setup that works today can change. With Fire TV, avoid buying on the assumption that an app outside the store, or already blocked, will remain available.
